Research Interest: Physical Organic Chemistry, Synthesis, Computation & Application
Design and Synthesis of application oriented π-conjugated molecular scaffolds.
The main goal of our research is to discover new electronic and optical properties of newly synthesized conjugated organic molecules and polymers.
While the main part of our work involves organic synthesis of new molecules including oligomers and polymers, we also use computational tools to predict the properties of these materials. In addition, we investigate the photo physical and electronic properties of our materials to gain deeper understanding of their structure-property relationship. We also collaborate with several groups to test our materials as the active layer in optical and electronic devices, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs).
